The Engagement
This is the story as well as I can remember it. It has now been told enough times that there may be some embelishments.
Ryan and Christine went to a party at the Wynn's house. He needed to get Christine alone to "Pop the Question" so he faked a need to get his jacket out of his truck and asked Christine to walk with him. When they got there, and Ryan fumbled around with his jacket for a while, he turned to Christine and told her, "I want to buy the cow".
Christine has kidded Ryan about them living together and the old saying, " Why would you want to buy the cow when you are getting the milk for free".
The squeal of delight by Christine was enough to get the attention of the other party goers, and thanks to the gratious action of Barb and Mark, a champagne toast topped off their night.
